What is an LED?
A light emitting diode (LED) is a semi conductor that releases light when an electric current passes through.
How long do LEDs last?
The One Light LEDs last up to 50,000 hours. That is a life span of 17 years based upon leaving the lights on for 8 hour per day, everyday of the year. In contrast, typical incandescent bulbs only last 1000 to 2000 hours, so switching to LED is a no brainer!
Are LEDs worth it?
Our LED products are up to 90% more efficient than the traditional halogen equivalent which lose about 90% of their energy through heat radiation. Essentially you are burning money using Halogen lighting. So save money on your electricity bills now!
Why you should avoid cheap LEDs?
LED lighting is very similar to other consumer electronics, where the quality of the product varies significantly. Cheaply made LEDs will not last very long and their lumen output will reduce rapidly over time. At One Light we can ensure you that our products are made to last!
What other benefits do LEDs possess?
- Low heat emissions - reducing the risk of a fire!
- Environmentally friendly
- Longer life span compared with Halogen
- Instantly on, no warm-up period
- MERCURY FREE!
